Testing out how to display the new items I am creating. A 6 foot table is definitely not enough space. I only have a fraction of the items out.
This Rip VanWinkle book is going to become a clock and
I have several other books slated to become clocks as well.
The book journals and wall art are both in the suitcase.
Once all of the book journals are done they will take up the whole case.
Will have to find another place for the wall art.
I like having the cards on display in the card catalog drawers.
More flower arrangements in vintage containers are under construction.
Need to make more vertical banners and find a way to display the pennant banners. Have just a few in a basket on the table.
Any thoughts on how to tweak the display?

The last time I was at Secondhand Chic Marketplace I picked up these lovely old Atlas's.
Now I am getting ready to make some travel quote wall art.
Sorry about the poor pictures. I am back to using the old camera as I can't find the charger for the new one.
My poor house looks like a craft store exploded in it.
Hope you enjoyed these.
Have to find some cute frames now.

I am in the process of making some journals. Since I have been using so many books for other items I end up with lots of covers so figured I should put them to use. I am always getting a variety of books the newer books give me nice crisp white pages. Some times though I want to have that aged vintage look, who am I kidding if I had my way everything would have that aged vintage look. LOL! But since I don't craft just for myself I try to expand my boundaries. My Going Green program where I have to come up with a way for 20 different ladies to create the same thing but with their own twist has helped me do this.
This journal is almost finished. I still want to add some, lined and graft paper, scrapbook paper and coordinating cardstock. Since this book had a dust jacket with a lovely image I wanted to add that to the journal. I attached it to the inside of the front cover. I then finished the journal off with lots of wonderful ribbons, love the texture.
Below are some of the modern looking journals.
And more lovely vintage covers.
The spines will be made into book marks.
I started showing the process, but then my camera died. : (

A combination of kraft cardstock, sheet music, black velvet paper and glimmer paper give these cards a classic elegance. I used the stamping up sleigh ride edgelits for these two.
I stamped the cat from the festive fireplace set on the back of the velvet paper and cut out with scissors.
The wise men and Bethlehem are gold embossed. I added the black velvet base for extra drama. The star was stamped on the back of gold glimmer paper and cut cut.
Have a very Merry Christmas everyone!
See ya soon.

I had picked up this trays earlier in the fall thinking I would use them for fall craft fair items. I am just now getting around to it.
I cut a piece of card board the size of the back and covered that in book pages and added the sweet glimmer works to get these fun bits of art.
The tray actually has enough depth that you can place 3D items on it. So I tested with the penguins. So cute!
